Trouble in Terrorist Town Rules

How To Play

Introduction: In TTT, there are three separate roles, these are Innocents, Traitors (1 per 4 players), Detectives (1 per 8 players).
  • Innocents: are all suspected of being a Traitor until proving them selves innocent to others or being proven by a Detective. As an Innocent you are to survive and weave out the Traitors amongst you to win the round.
  • Traitors: are hidden amongst the Innocents, except to other Traitors. As a Traitor your goal is to use your element of surprise to kill off the Innocent players by any means without being caught. Traitors should consider eliminating Detectives early on as they have special equipment to help further identify who the Traitors are.
  • Detectives: are always proven innocent and have access to special equipment to help better identify Traitors amongst the Innocents.

Commands:
  • !menu/!shop
  • !inventory
  • Press F to use flashlight
  • Use key (E by default) to identify dead bodies
  • Use key (E by default)+Walk key (shift by default) to silent ID a body
  • @ in team chat to communicate to admins in private
  • !radio: a player menu to say who your with etc
  • !karma: Check your karma (also score on scoreboard)
  • !credits: Check your credits
  • !rdm: to report a rdm to an admin in server
  • !report: to report a player and alert admins outside the server

A common method of discovering whether someone is a traitor or not is to buy a taser via /menu or /shop and then tase them, it will do no damage but display in chat what role they have. Many other items can be bought using /menu or /shop such as health shots or, if you're a traitor, guns and explosives to help you to kill all of the innocents. Just follow your roles and have fun!

Innocent Rules

  1. Innocents must be actively perusing the round. No camping/delaying.
  2. Innocents may not 'Traitor bait' for any reason.
  3. Innocents can't call KOS(Kill on sight) for any reason without valid reasoing.
  4. As the detective can never be a traitor, killing them is forbidden (Unless it is in self-defense).
  5. As an Innocent you can prove someone for your self and not others.
  6. Innocents may not 'turn the other way' or delibertly assist a Traitor in anyway.
  7. Tasers automatically KOS the player if they are Traitor, these cannot be revoked and they only prove the player who tased them, others cannot be proven by KOSing them.

  2. Traitors may not harm/kill other traitors, including the use of map objects.

  6. Tasers automatically KOS the player if they are Traitor, these cannot be revoked and they only prove the player who tased them, others cannot be proven by KOSing them

Traitorous Acts: You MUST kill players who are doing traitorous acts, failure to do so could be considered traitorous.
  • Killing, damaging, or shooting a non suspicious player, unless self defense or cross fire.
  • Entering/leaving Traitor only areas.
  • Throwing lethal grenades towards another player without warning (smokes and flashes are not a traitorous act).
  • Exploding an explosive barrel which is in proximity of a player to do damage.
  • Using traitor items. Traitor items include:
    • Breach Charge
    • One Hit Knife
    • Use of Jihad
  • Hiding unidentified bodies or health stations. Hiding in this case means in a unreachable spot or somewhere behind props.
  • Destroying Traitor tester or disabling health stations.(Doing this as a Innocent is griefing, unless you're trapped and in danger)
  • Intentionally not IDing a body.
  • Teleporting (You must be certain that they didn't get teleported by staff, or used a map teleport to kill them).
  • Not killing another player who is known to be a traitor (it must be beyond reasonable doubt that they knew they were with a traitor).
  • Killing or injuring non-suspicious players, or the detective (unless it was line-of-fire or were attacked first) or a proven-player.
  • Saying that you are a traitor or you're the T or talking about your traitor buddies.
  • Declaring a KOS on an innocent.
  • Responding to a question can make you KOSabled/KOSed (ie "Are you traitor?" "Yes I am" or "Have you killed any innocents?" "Yes I have")
  • A response has to be clear to that specific question and you cannot bait out people (i.e. Asking are you innocent, then quickly are you traitor hoping they'd say yes to the first question is not allowed)

Non-suspicious Behavior : You should NOT kill for any non-suspicious behavior - the following acts are considered as non-suspicious:
  • Self Defense - attacking another player who has intentionally attacked you first (except line-of-fire) without valid reason.
  • Following you is not a reason to KOS someone.
  • Activating a non-traitor trap when no other player is at risk.
  • They are walking as though they have a menu open, not moving or AFK.
  • Refusing live checks, ammo, slot etc.
  • Hold traitor weapons not listed above (some maps have spawns for them).

  • RDM - Random Death Match. Killing or injuring teammates without regard to roles or information. (could result in server punishment)

  • Crossfire - When you're engaging in a firefight for a valid reason and another player appears in your line of fire and not killing them is unavoidable.
  • Map exploiting- Accessing areas of that map that can't be obtained under normal circumstances.(Map exploits should be brought to the admins and not a KOSable offense.)
